Formula and variables

Worked example

Example: 100 mL of 1× KCM from 5× stock

Enter C₁=5×, C₂=1×, and V₂=100 mL.

V₁ = (1 × 100) / 5 = 20 mL stock; 80 mL diluent

Why results may differ

  • • Do not mix concentration dimensions or percent bases.
