Twelve weeks of obicetrapib administration resulted in an average 45% reduction in LDL cholesterol. The difference compared with placebo was statistically significant.

During the treatment period, there were no clinically relevant changes in hepatic or muscular enzymes, and no serious adverse events were reported. This demonstrates a safety profile that allows patients to take the medication with confidence.
Future Significance and Outlook
If these findings are confirmed, obicetrapib could become a new first‑line therapeutic option for FH. Large‑scale Phase III trials and real‑world clinical implementation are anticipated.
