Targeting Bottlenecks in Site Selection and Patient Enrollment

The inference capabilities of Claude will be applied to ICON's OneSearch and OnePlan to support site selection, research feasibility assessments, and patient enrollment planning. Orbis is designed to detect enrollment risks, trends, and operational signals in real-time for ongoing studies, and to reduce delays and revisions in trial initiation through protocol design and scenario modeling. Site selection failures and enrollment delays simultaneously increase clinical trial duration and costs; therefore, if proven effective, sponsors will compare data scale, predictive accuracy, and automation levels when selecting a CRO.

Deployment Expanding to Research and Development Organizations

ICON plans to deploy Claude Code to developers and Claude Science to scientific research teams, connecting coding, data analysis, and document creation and review. Claude Science is a workbench for scientists that provides auditability and reproducibility, which are required in regulated industries.
