Clinical Design and Objectives

This Phase 3 trial is currently in the recruiting stage. The study commenced on 2026‑01‑19 and combines sacituzumab tirumotecan (ADC) with pembrolizumab (PD‑1 inhibitor) alongside bevacizumab (VEGF inhibitor). Primary assessments include safety, overall survival (OS) and progression‑free survival (PFS), compared with the current standard of care.

Target and Mechanism of Action

sacituzumab tirumotecan is an antibody‑drug conjugate (ADC) that recognizes Trop‑2 on tumor‑cell surfaces and delivers a cytotoxic payload intracellularly. pembrolizumab is an immune‑checkpoint inhibitor that activates T cells to attack cancer cells. The combination is expected to provide synergistic effects by simultaneously inducing direct tumor‑cell killing and immune activation.

Current Treatment Landscape and Differentiation

The standard of care for metastatic cervical cancer consists of chemotherapy combined with bevacizumab. However, treatment resistance and adverse events remain significant challenges.
