NOTES
- • CBE: Cytosine → Uracil (reads as Thymine). C:G → T:A conversion.
- • ABE: Adenine → Inosine (reads as Guanine). A:T → G:C conversion.
- • Position 1 = PAM-distal end of the protospacer (5' end for NGG PAM).
- • Bystander editing may occur at non-target C bases within the window.
- • Narrower-window variants (YE1-BE3, ABE7.10) reduce bystander edits at the cost of efficiency.
